This is not your basic comic book feel to the character that is batman. This is not too the stories you are used to too from the comic books. This book is acclaimed by most to be the most graphic novel ever written and is more of a horror then any other genera. The basics of this book is simple but has a deep story to it. Joker and all of Batman's super villians (Two-Faced, Scarecrow, Penguin, etc.) are all locked up into Arkham Asylum until one night they escape and take the whole place hostage. They blackmail batman by only letting all the people go if he enters the asylum and plays there little games and humors him. What little does he know he questions his sanity by all the mind games the villians play onto him. Joker the mastermind of it all litterally pushes batman to the point of suicide. So now he must not only face his own demons but the demons of others and the villians in person. A guy I work with read this book and he simply said you better have the stomach for this... with all the gruesome but yet wonderful illustrations and artwork to the story in general this is one hell of a book. He simply told me that if you thought the latest movies were dark wait to you read what this book has in stores.
I CAN NOT WAIT!!!
