wow. im speechless...

this video had me thinking how something as simple as music can move mountains. i mean it crazy how all problems cease to exist when you listen to that song that makes you want to sing along, that song that reminds you of a old good memory, or that song that well... hell make you shake your ass and go crazy. what people fail to realize is that music in general can heal just about most problems and bring people all around the world closer together. this is an example of just that... enjoy.

this makes me want to sing along with them.

i love sporting events. i mean the atmosphere, fans, rivals, laughter, smiles, and just plain fun. this is definition of that to a tee. its a boston red sox game and the fans are singing to sweet caroline by neil diamond. enjoy, cause i sure did =]

it is a bone tumor that must be removed. i will have surgery on the 26th and be out of work and in crutches for about a month at the most. soon therapy to follow. wish me luck.

ahh good ol blog that i have started last summer. im sorry i forgot about you. im sorry that i haven't been telling you what is going on in the world that is Justin Miners. ill try to get better. no, wait... scratch that. i WILL get better. starting now...

WHERE TO START!? well the fact that my life just did an 180 and now im not going to the navy is a start. i was supposed to leave in october but now thats not going to happen. reason why? well, awhile back i was working out with the navy and my left knee was giving me a fit. i didn't think much of it so i let it be, toughed it out, and forgot about it. well after that it kept reoccurring, each time worse then before. it was so bad that i put my pride aside and had to go have it checked out. i did last tuesday. so im sitting in the doc's office looking at my own x-rays and being nosey lol and he came in with those words that i wont forget... "its not good." he later explained that it was a bone tumor. now incase you didn't know about my past medical history, i used to have testicular cancer. everything is fine now, thank god, but that was the first thing i thought when he said that it was a bone tumor was a form of cancer, it isn't. so now i have to go through surgery to remove this tumor and then after that ill be in a brace for about 4 months. "woooo hoooo!!!" lol. the navy has already my papers to let me start my new life in the free world. 

so now what??? i mean what is a kid to do when he had his whole life planned out and now has to think about a new plan. i plan on starting where my heart truly lies. culinary school. i know, i know, what happened to being a cop? well that fact is i do like law and it would be a very interesting job but its just not what im happy with. i mean i now live on my own and i find myself cooking for me all the time since i need to save all the money i can get lol. i even cook a intimate dinner for me and my babe all the time and thats when i realized something last time. when i see someone enjoy something i made i get a no better high. i mean it literally puts me on cloud nine lol. so im going to pursue a career in something i love. even if i can make more money easily running my sisters company, or being a cop, my heart just wouldn't be in it. so to make this happen i need to do some rearranging lol. after my surgery im moving back to naples THANK YOU JESUS!!! god i miss my friends in naples. i miss naples period. so im moving back there and going to start school at the lorenzo walker institute. there ill take culinary classes to start my life and start to sit back relax a bit. in all honesty too... i cant wait!!! =]

after this surgery and all is going to be taken care of is when i put my life into drive now. no more excuses. look forward to it =]

hopefully by tomorrow ill be all moved and settled into my new place. im going to start my packing tonight and all day tomorrow ill be moving in. nicole and jared are going to be helping me throughout the day and im glad because im going to need to have all the extra hands i can get. today i also went to target and bought over a hundred bucks of stuff like towels, sheets and blankets, pillows, a bathroom rug. i mean you name it i got it. i also got the " a ok" to move my grandma's recliner in my room. im thrilled about that cause that chair sits really good.

today was something that ive been craving for awhile. i dont get to do this much but i enjoy every moment of it. 

fez is down for spring break from west point. as long as ive known shawn and all my other friends i dont get along better then with anyone else. i mean we literally just sat back on the beach today as we had some "eye candy" walk in front of us and bullshited about everything. i mean mostly sex stories or fantasies and would i do this chick or how many beers would it take to sleep with her... so i guess you call that "guy talk" lol. he may not know it but out of all my friends he has impacted me the most with his "go with the flow" attitude to everything, that i have later adopted into my own style and outlook on life. i like it.

so like the subject i am sunburnt but happy and cant wait for the next adventure. 4 wheeling with my babe on saturday =]

while i sit here and cringe at the sound of a vacuum (cause i hate that noise.) i begin to think of all the stuff that has been going on in my life as of recent. also too all the things that has already passed in my life. here are some few thoughts...

- im FINALLY getting that place of my own. by the 1st of april ill be moved and settle in to an apartment here in estero. its a 2 bed 2 bath, nothing spectacular, but what is so great about this is that it will finally give me the freedom to do whatever the hell i want to. my roommate will be my cousin so im glad to its with someone i at least know too. he needs a roommate till he graduates in the fall and i so happen to leave in the fall so why not is what i said? so good news in that part.

- now ive had my crushes in the past but it was just yesterday when i saw a good friend of mine alyssa. is when i realized that every old flame of mine ill just look at them the same way... an old flame. i mean i use to be ga ga over this girl (and about every other one) and would always picture myself dating and what not. yesterday though and throughout this relationship i only saw her as a friend and that made me smile cause that will only make our friendship that much better.

- fez is coming into town today. i miss my amigo and all the shit we got ourselves into. he most of the time bailed me out and i will still wait for that time to come when he needs my help cause lets face it... with the way he is, he is either lucky or smart to not get caught up in any shit. apparently i dont have neither lol.

- it was on the fifth that it was mine and nicole's 4 month and while it seems like longer then that all i do know is that i never have had a dull moment. i couldnt have asked for someone better for me. i mean she is almost like me in every way and she shares the same beliefs as me. so of course im diggin her. we have talked it out and although it will be tough we are going to stick out the navy and remain together cause we both dont want to lose each other. im glad =)

- the sound of the vacuum is driving me insane!!! im going to leave now with this... if there is something that is pissing you off, drown out the sound with espn's sportscenter.

jesus... i just got done playing 360 with shawn and woods and im about spent... im tired and we got humiliated, for the first time online, while we were playing, and got our asses beat lol.

it hit me like a mac truck.

picture this...

its about high noon over at a port. there are a bunch of people along with these sailors saying there goodbyes and wishing them a fast return home. the camera focuses on a couple and fixates it on them. he captures every single moment as if it was a hollywood film and filming is his job. the sailor and her talk for awhile and then later she kisses him for as long as she can knowing that it may be her last. he sits there for as long as he can until the final horn goes off, telling all who is getting on to say your final goodbyes cause they cant wait for anyone. they hug and he leaves. looking back every chance he can get as she looks at him with glassy eyes that are about to explode. when he leaves her sight she turns to a friendly shoulder and just lets loose on all that she was holding back... this was a video i saw tonight. i never wanna see it again.

this is something that i hate to admit but is going to happen. i mean i dont know when exactly but will. i was thinking about this as i saw this video and i cant help but feel guilty. guilty for everything. nicole knew this would happen and she didnt want to have a relationship because of something like this. it sucks. i kept going on and pursuing something i wanted and of course only thinking of myself. she deserves better then my selfish act. 

now what to do? i see it all the time, couples make it through these long time periods of not seeing each other or talking as a matter of fact. sure its going to be hard but the key thing is that it can be done. i vow to myself to give every inch upon myself to make this happen cause i am proud of one thing and that is growing up in my life i know when i have something good and not only knowing if something is good but also not letting go of it. she is that good thing right now. im not willing to let something like this effect us. we are both too good and too smart to allow it to happen. 

besides... a kid like me likes to look at the glass half full not half empty. so how do i do that at a time like this? easy. it only makes the memories now and the precious memories of the future that much sweeter.
